Why

Why did SMFY migrate to a new contract?

Steady growth and improved functionality across our music app "Smashify" necessitates the deployment of a new, stronger and more secure token contract for the "Smashify Token" (SMFY).

Permit Capability

Every interaction on V2 only needs one wallet transaction instead of two. This saves you gas fees!

Total Supply Integrity

In V1, total supply can't be reduced, only moved to a dead address. V2 supports a proper burn function.

Better Ownership check

V2 validates ownership using msg.sender rather than tx.origin. Malicious contracts cannot seize ownership of the token.

The New Contract

No owner at all.

Supply is fixed at 1,000,000,000 and can only decrease. There is no privileged role for anyone, including us.

What Happens, And When

The migration timeline

Day 0 · August 12, 2026

This announcement goes out.

Day 8 · August 20, 2026

All of the following happen in order, same day:

  • V1 liquidity is withdrawn. Your V1 balance at that moment is what determines what you receive—V1 can no longer be traded after this point.
  • V2 is sent to every holder one-for-one with no fee or deduction.
  • V2 liquidity goes live at a new pair address to be announced on August 20th.
Do not buy V1 on or after August 20, 2026

V1 is being retired and its liquidity is being withdrawn on August 20, 2026. Purchases after that point cannot be traded or exchanged.

If your wallet doesn't display them, add the token manually. In MetaMask or Trust Wallet, choose “Import tokens” and paste the address below. Name, symbol, and decimals fill in automatically.
